Scripting (angelscript, lua...)

This is a continuation of this post on the old forum

I am wondering what is your experience with various scripting blocks such as Angelscript or Lua. I tried to use Angelscript block with cinder 0.9.0 in VS2015, but couldn’t make it work.

I can post a list of errors if anyone is interested, but at this point, I would mostly like to know what are your experiences (especially positive ones :slight_smile: ) with these technologies.

What we are trying to do with our cinder application is to allow the users to write a script that, for example, performs some string processing, which our App would then execute.

Hi Mitja,

Many of us have tried different things, latest that at least a few of us are working with is Live++. It’s working quite fast and well, out of the box. I’d give it a shot if you haven’t already.
