License in mobile app?

My team will be launching a Cinder app to the AppStore soon so I was reviewing the license. One of the clauses states “redistribution in binary form must reproduce the above copyright notice, this list of conditions and the following disclaimer.”

Does that mean that the Cinder license must be accessible from the app itself?

Thanks!

My best understanding of, and certainly the spirit of choosing the 3-Clause BSD, is to request for users to acknowledge that portions of the application are due to Cinder somewhere in their binary. This would generally be in the README or similar, though realistically that’s not possible in every context. For example, for a touchscreen installation I don’t believe there’s a realistic way to honor that.

In a case like yours even just an acknowledgment of Cinder and its open source community would very much honor the spirit of the license.

Cool, thanks for the clarification Andrew.
